Class Format(s) in Tampa: All Graduate Programs are taught in convenient evening and weekend formats. Undergraduate Programs are taught 100% Online. Some Master’s Degrees are 100% Online.

 

Length of Terms: TROY University has five 9 week terms each academic year. The University is closed for two weeks for the December holidays.

 

Number of Terms Per Year: TROY University has 5 nine week terms each academic year.

Admission Requirements for Master’s Degrees:

To become a TROY graduate student, you must:

1. Complete an Application for Admission form either on-site or online, and pay a $50.00 non-refundable application fee.

2. You must possess a Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university.

3. Official copies of your transcripts from all of the schools you previously attended are required. It is important for prospective students to note that: a) copies stamped “issued to the student” are not accepted, b) all transcripts must be received by TROY prior to second term registration, and c) all credits must be from regionally accredited institutions.

4. You must take a graduate level entrance exam (the GRE, GMAT, or MAT) unless you already have a Master’s Degree.

5. You must submit a letter of recommendation from someone who knows you well (either personally or professionally) acknowledging your suitability for TROY’S graduate degree program.

6. MSCP students must submit a letter of intent, 3 letters of recommendation, a current resume and be personally interviewed by graduate Counseling and Psychology faculty.

Admission Requirements for Associate’s and Bachelor’s Degrees:

To become a TROY undergraduate student you must:

1. Complete an Application for Admission and pay the application fee.

2. You must possess a High School Diploma from an accredited or approved school with a cum of 2.30 or better. If your cum is less than 2.30, your minimum composite score must be 18 on the ACT and 870 on the SAT.

3. You must submit an ACT or SAT score, see the Troy University Undergraduate Catalog, page eleven.
